Buy side M&A and strategic advisory - appliancesWe're creating an advisory team to support buy-side research and M&A advisory for a client interested to roll up small appliance sellers. The client is a $50 million traditional brick and mortar appliance business providing both builders and consumers with the lowest price and best service appliances from various known brands. The owner is seeking to merge with a similar business online and pursue a roll up of smaller appliance sellers that can benefit from a unified supply chain, distribution, technology and a national brand. The industry is dominated by small appliance sellers working without the benefits of technology. The company has a small team with a long term interest. We are creating an investment, M&A and operational team to help the company understanding all aspects including: understand the overall sector dynamics, the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks, due diligence and valuation of the business pre and post merger, roll up plan and the capital needs based on the available opportunities. The team will support all aspects of the deal and help the organization think about strategic acquisitions and integration during the pre-close and post-close phases. This will be an advisory projects that starts with research that informs a strategic plan and the execution of the merger. As part of the advisory work, we will develop an investment thesis to raise capital to provide some liquidity for the owners and execute the roll up. Areas of expertise we need for the team include:
