We came to existence due to the severe injustice from information opacity traditional PBMs exert on employers and pharmacies. Traditional PBMs make business decisions as if the only way to success is by extracting as much money out of the pharmacy supply chain as possible at the expense of independent pharmacy financial viability. Traditional PBMs continually prey on employers through complex contractual agreements with loopholes that allow for such practices as spread pricing, MAC list pricing differentials, and rebate retention. SIPN believes the only way to define success is by aligning all of our interests to optimize value for our employers, to create a sustainable reimbursement model for independent pharmacies, and to provide great care to our communities. SIPN sees self funding as the tipping point in healthcare that can revolutionize how we pay and deliver a system of the best clinical care from a team of professionals focused on the patient without worrying about pharmacy reimbursement.
