Insight description

A large base of a company's revenue is directed towards its suppliers and partners. Yet many companies fail to address the necessary steps to ensure the success of their Procurement organization. So how can you build a stronger procurement organization that will have meaningful impact in the overall value of your company?

In this one-hour session, Dawn will share her insights and lessons learned over 20+ years of experience in procurement transformation across global organizations such as Cargill and Digital River. Her experience focused on creating global center-led procurement organizations for large complex companies with responsibility for transforming the organization's technology, process, policy and procedures needed to ensure a successful, global procurement organization. The participating moderator, Tim Clarke led growth initiatives at Avendra, the largest supply chain services provider in the hospitality industry. Tim advised companies on technology investments in manufacturing and supply chain automation while at Oracle Corporation and has held operating roles with various companies across sectors such as software, energy, transportation and professional services.

During this session Dawn will review the procurement processes and their related technologies. She will share options that many companies battle whether to keep procurement in-house, or outsourcing, co-sourcing and perhaps use SaaS as a service option.
